VMAXCHECK provides internet performance testing, diagnostics and educational information. By using the site you accept these terms.

Service description

The speed test measures the connection of your current device through M-Lab infrastructure. Network tools expose public technical information such as RDAP and DNS records. Guides explain networking topics in plain language. No account is required and none is offered.

Results are informational

Results depend on device conditions, Wi-Fi quality, routing, server selection and current network load. Do not use a single result as proof of provider fault. Repeat important tests under controlled conditions, including an Ethernet test near the router when practical. VMAXCHECK gives no guarantee of specific speeds and no service level.

Acceptable use

Use the tools responsibly and only for legitimate purposes. Do not abuse the service: automated bulk queries, attempts to bypass rate limits or bans, attacks on the infrastructure, and use of lookup tools to harass or stalk people are prohibited. Violations can lead to temporary or permanent access restrictions.

Third-party services

Measurements run on M-Lab infrastructure under M-Lab policies. Optional analytics uses Google Analytics only with your consent. External links lead to content we do not control.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory statutory provisions. For other breaches of essential contractual duties, liability is limited to foreseeable typical damage. Beyond that, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms as the service evolves; continued use after publication of changes counts as acceptance. German law applies. If you use the service as a consumer from another EU country, mandatory consumer protections of your home country remain unaffected.
