Understand the address this server sees
This tool reports the public source address of your request to VMAXCHECK. It does not scan your home network. The result can be the address of a router, mobile gateway, VPN or proxy rather than a unique address assigned to your device.
Try it step by step
- Run the lookup and note whether the result is IPv4 or IPv6.
- If you are checking a VPN, compare a lookup with the VPN connected and disconnected. Keep the same device and browser.
- Use IP Lookup for registration information about the returned address.
What the result means
A changed address shows that this request used a different public exit. It does not prove that every app uses that exit or that a VPN has no leaks. A single request normally uses either IPv4 or IPv6, so this is not a complete dual-stack connectivity test.
Limits of this lookup
Do not use a public address to identify a person or precise location. Several subscribers or devices may share an address, and addresses can change. Your private Wi-Fi address is a different value.
